In 2018, the WTC General Assembly took place at WTC Leeuwarden. After 36 years, the General Assembly was held again in the Netherlands, bringing significant business potential to Leeuwarden.

Congress Bureau Friesland served as the PCO (Professional Congress Organizer) for this 4-day international conference, which hosted more than 500 guests from 39 different countries.

CBF was responsible for the entire logistics and production organization, including the partner program. This ranged from a 24-hour reception at Schiphol to the arrangement of 2,000 overnight stays. Additionally, the team handled the production of a spectacular opening, an exhibition floor, a gala dinner with a grand finale, and excursions to various businesses and demo sites. All of this was achieved within a 12-month preparation period, working closely with host WTC Leeuwarden and the WTCA headquarters in New York.
