The members' day of Vereniging Circulair Friesland (VCF) had to be surprising and special. Congress Bureau Friesland was asked to contribute ideas for both the form and content, as well as handle the entire logistical execution. With the theme "Destination Friesland" and the mission to organize the event as sustainably as possible while making optimal use of products from the association's members, we got to work. An empty factory hall was set up with repurposed furniture from OPNIEUW.

Our proposal to have six young people share their sustainable future dreams with the members led to an opening that was talked about long afterward. After an inspiring plenary program and a well-organized vegetarian lunch, everyone rolled up their sleeves.

Those who do good, meet good. For example, chairs were assembled, snack boards, birdhouses, and lamps were created. All materials were given a good destination in the community after the members' day. The day concluded with engaging working sessions in small teams.

The form and structure of the program, combined with the open attitude of the more than 150 participants, ensured that words were translated into circular actions. On this special members' day, the groundwork was laid for a sustainable, circular future, with Friesland leading the way through broad collaboration. Mission accomplished!
